Nepal has a rich history in literature. Famous names such as Laxmi Prasad Devkota, Lain Singh Bangdel, Bhairab Aryal are powerhouses in Nepali literature with significant contributions that will go down in the annals of history. Below, we present top five classic literature:

'Muna and Madan' - is based on an old Newar folktale & derives much of its considerable charm from its simple language & musical meter. Devkota broke new ground by becoming the first Nepali poet to employ the jhyaure meter of the folk song.
