Khairini Ghat (Return to a Nepali Village)
After having lost himself for ten years in Calcutta, a weary traveller named Bhaktabire returns to his native village in the hills of Nepal. In his old home, he finds that his father has married a second wife in order to produce an heir. In the village, outside political changes are beginning to have little-understood effects on the inhabitants.
